So many of us feel overwhelmed and stressed-out – because we don’t know how to truly rest. In this special workshop with Kimberly Brown, meditation teacher and author of Steady, Calm, and Brave: 25 Buddhist Practices for Wisdom and Resilience in a Crisis, you’ll learn to relax with the restorative powers of mindfulness, Yoga Nidra, and self-compassion. Kimberly will guide you to gently release tension, overwhelm, self-judgement, and other unhelpful patterns that cause stress and pain in your body, heart and mind. While laying on a yoga mat or sitting in a chair, you’ll experience healing through your own kind attention to yourself. In stillness, you’ll rediscover the ease and peace that is always available when you let go of the past, stop worrying about the future, and relax into the openness and clarity of the present moment. No experience with meditation or yoga is necessary and all are welcome. Wear loose and comfortable clothing. To fully experience the benefits of the program, plan to power down your cellphone for the duration of the event.
All programs are held on Eastern Standard Time (ET), unless otherwise noted. Recordings of hybrid programs will be sent either through e-mail or in Your Account on thus.org. Financial assistance is available through contacting [email protected].
