Join Kalachakra Master Khentrul Rinpoche at Tibet House US (or online) for an inspiring evening. During the evening, Khentrul Rinpoche, a Jonang Kalachakra master, who focuses on the teachings from the pure land of Shambhala, will plant blessings in our mindstream of White Manjushri and Chenrezig that we can activate through our own practice and reflection on the texts.

White Manjushri helps us cultivate wisdom, specifically through gentle methods that help us teach others through our speech. Chenrezig is the Tibetan name for Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion.

To overcome the darkness in our world and manifest the Golden Age on Earth, we must cultivate both wisdom and compassion with the altruistic mind set on enlightenment. Wisdom and compassion are like the two wings of a bird: in order to fly, we must exercise both wings in equal measure. We need to recognize that deep work must be done on ourselves, and we should do our best and work diligently to transform our own minds. The more our minds are rooted in deep wisdom and compassion with altruistic intention, the less we contribute to suffering in the world and the better-equipped we will be to help others. We can not get discouraged and overwhelmed by the temporary negative conditions in our world. We can start our path to manifest the golden age right here. We can become the peace we want to see in our world.

Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche is a Rimé and Jonang Kalachakra Master of Tibetan Buddhism. Inspired by the Kalki Kings of Shambhala, through his organization, Dzokden, Khentrul Rinpoche works towards the second Golden Age of peace on our earth by transmitting the Kalachakra teachings in every area of the globe, translated in over 13 languages. He has authored over 20 books related to Shambhala, Kalachakra and Vajrayana Buddhism. His most recent book, published by Shambhala Publications, is titled The Realm of Shambhala. His forthcoming book, The Path of Desire, is currently available in Tibetan and will be published in more languages next year. Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoché spent the first 20 years of his life herding yak and chanting mantras on the plateaus of Tibet. Inspired by the bodhisattvas, he left his family to receive an extensive education in a variety of monasteries under the guidance of over twenty-five masters in all the Tibetan buddhist traditions. Due to his non-sectarian approach, he earned himself the title of Rimé (unbiased) Master and was identified as the reincarnation of the famous Kalachakra Master Ngawang Chözin Gyatso. While at the core of his teachings is the recognition that there is great value in the diversity of all spiritual traditions found in this world; he focuses on the Jonang-Shambhala tradition. Thought to be extinct by many Western scholars, he found it held the most advanced teachings of Kalachakra containing profound methods to harmonize our external environment with the inner world of body and mind.
