Join us for a special evening with Kalachakra Master Khentrul Rinpoche. Rinpoche will share a short teaching about how the External Kalachakra, the cosmos, relates to the Internal Kalachakra mandala, the individual’s subtle body. From there, we will move on to a short vedic tantric yoga asana practice led by Yeshe Wangmo.

Don’t miss an opportunity to connect with these rare and precious teachings. This introductory evening will help us understand the role of Yoga Asana, Pranayama, astrology, and the subtle body in Kalachakra preliminary and completion stage practices. For those looking to find an authentic long term practice in Yoga that is connected to profound teachings, this is a little taste to understand what is to come. Khentrul Rinpoche is working diligently to bring all of these practices to the world to offer us a complete yogic path to non-monastics for Kalachakra. He started by teaching the profound 6 Vajra Yogas, the completion stage of Kalachakra, in Europe. In the next year or two, he plans to teach a Kalachakra yoga asana program founded from the Jonang Tibetan Buddhist lineage that anyone can do to prepare themselves for the completion stage. This evening is best for people who are practitioners of yoga who are curious to learn about a wholistic tantric yogic system that can go from entry-level to enlightenment or for those who have an interest in the Kalachakra tantra.

Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche is a Rimé and Jonang Kalachakra Master of Tibetan Buddhism. Inspired by the Kalki Kings of Shambhala, through his organization, Dzokden, Khentrul Rinpoche works towards the second Golden Age of peace on our earth by transmitting the Kalachakra teachings in every area of the globe, translated in over 13 languages. He has authored over 20 books related to Shambhala, Kalachakra and Vajrayana Buddhism. His most recent book, published by Shambhala Publications, is titled The Realm of Shambhala. His forthcoming book, The Path of Desire, is currently available in Tibetan and will be published in more languages next year. Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoché spent the first 20 years of his life herding yak and chanting mantras on the plateaus of Tibet. Inspired by the bodhisattvas, he left his family to receive an extensive education in a variety of monasteries under the guidance of over twenty-five masters in all the Tibetan buddhist traditions. Due to his non-sectarian approach, he earned himself the title of Rimé (unbiased) Master and was identified as the reincarnation of the famous Kalachakra Master Ngawang Chözin Gyatso. While at the core of his teachings is the recognition that there is great value in the diversity of all spiritual traditions found in this world; he focuses on the Jonang-Shambhala tradition. Thought to be extinct by many Western scholars, he found it held the most advanced teachings of Kalachakra containing profound methods to harmonize our external environment with the inner world of body and mind.
