For the Pride Month meditation this year, Buddhist translator and meditation instructor Michael Lobsang Tenpa will guide participants in connecting to the three types of joy that play an important role in maintaining inner balance and celebrating our communities: intergenerational joy transmitted through our familial and spiritual ancestors, empathethic joy (mudita) and rejoicing (anumodana).
Together, these three help us see the resilience, beauty and strength of our communities, reminding us that our journey through life is not just a 1000 sorrows – it also atleast a 1000 joys.
The 30-minute meditation session will be divided into 2 practices, making it comfortable enough for both complete beginners and experienced practitioners. Registered participants will receive the link to the recording, along with some additional joy-related guided meditations that they can continue to use for their personal practice.
All the proceeds from this session are donated to the Trevor Project in support of endangered LGBTQIA+ youth.
