Join us for an online introductory class on Shamatha meditation that will cover the foundations of a unique and highly effective 9-step healing practice developed by Phakyab Rinpoche.

Suffering from diabetes and gangrene, Rinpoche cured himself through intensive practice of these techniques. Following the Dalai Lama’s guidance, Rinpoche taught and transmitted these healing practices. This specific practice of Shamatha (or “calm-abiding meditation”), called the 9-Step Healing Shamatha, is done in three phases:

  1. A phase of purification of the five chakras.
  2. A phase of concentration to settle the practitioner’s mind.
  3. A phase of the practice of both compassion and emptiness is called dissolution.

Zoom sessions will be 3 hours with bio breaks, individual and group practice, and time for questions and answers and group discussion.

This course is open to practitioners of all levels. Whether one identifies as Buddhist or not, beginners and those who have accumulated several hours of practice will benefit from these special teachings. Teachings will be in Tibetan with live English translation. A discount with be provided for participation in any future in-person program.

All registered participants will receive the recordings and any ancillary materials.

Note: In the event of proven illness, this practice does not in any way replace medicine or other healing modalities. It is an additional element promoting the healing process.
