Join us for an evening of poetry in-person or online, continuing our popular poetry series curated by Arden Wohl. Whereas the first series was an homage to the Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in conjunction with our exhibit featuring his photographs, this ongoing series is inspired by the Great poet Sixth Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso (1683-1706). He is well known for his poems and songs; he wrote a remarkable collection of love/erotic poetry and was much beloved, despite his alternative lifestyle. He loved archery, alcohol, and women with a passion and refused to take full monastic vows.
