Phakyab Rinpoche gladly invites you to a Medicine Buddha retreat; this therapeutic practice enables us to awaken healing in ourselves, cultivate strong, selfless compassion, and relieve mental health challenges globally.
The Medicine Buddha practice rebalances the body and the spirit, altering emotional disturbances, purifying negative karma, guiding us towards inner and outer healing setting the stage for compassion and altruism.
Whatever your religion or spiritual beliefs, this practice will plant the seeds of love and healing within you.
It is extremely important to understand that the Medicine Buddha practice is by no means a substitute for medicine; however, as it purifies us and develops our inner strength, it helps to strengthen our immune system.

Featuring

Phakyab Rinpoche was born in 1966 in Tibet, ordained as a monk at the age of 13. In 1994 he was recognized by the XIV Dalai Lama as the eighth rebirth of Phakyab Rinpoche. When faced with severe health problems that required the amputation of one of his legs, he consulted with the Dalai Lama, who encouraged him to rely on spiritual practices and faith to heal himself. “You will teach the world how to heal,” H.H. told him. From this experience, Rinpoche wrote his book, Meditation Saved My Life. Currently living in New York and teaching worldwide, he is the Spiritual Leader for The Healing Buddha Foundation. The Foundation houses and educates young Tibetan children while supporting Tibetan single mothers through their sponsorship program. As a member of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism, Rinpoche teaches spiritual healing throughout the United States, France, and the world.
