We’ll all face unexpected and unwanted circumstances from time to time—a health crisis, an accident, or sudden change in housing, employment, or relationship. That’s why Kimberly Brown, meditation teacher and author of Steady, Calm, and Brave: 25 Buddhist Practices for Wisdom and Resilience in a Crisis, created this program. Over six weeks, she’ll offer you the resources and tools to meet your difficulties with clarity and courage. You’ll learn to support yourself and others through meditation, mindfulness exercises, and compassion practices drawn from the Buddhist tradition. These simple and effective tools will enable you to keep your heart open while keeping your feet on the ground, so you can make sensible decisions and take care of yourself without feeling defeated or becoming overwhelmed.
Please Note: Registered students will have access to the recordings so if you miss a class you can watch it later.
In this six-week program you’ll learn to:
- Strengthen your insight and self-awareness during stress
- Steady your mind with simple meditations
- Meet difficult emotions with kindness
- Identify and learn to rely upon your resources
- Discern options and make wise choices
- Develop your capacity to meet changing circumstances with more ease, openness, and compassion
*We’re offering this program on a sliding scale fee basis so as many people as possible can participate. Please select the highest rate you can reasonably afford as your generosity allows for those with lesser means to participate.*
